Advanced Workouts
Once you have been training for some time, you will get to the stage where you feel that you need more of a challenge. I like to alternate the types of training that I do each week to continue to challenge my body to the max.
I still run a few times per week alternating between longer, slower runs to high intensity intervals runs along the same principles as my high intensity cardio workouts only I am running instead.
Every couple of weeks, I will visit the local YMCA and do a quick but high intensity strength sessions with heavy weights to add some variety.
I do lots of bodyweight strength workouts, sometimes with high reps and sometimes lower reps with some added weight. For instance walking lunges while holding dumbbells.
A couple of times each week, I will do a high intensity cardio workout just like the ones featured here and
on the other cardio pages.
The main difference between the advanced training routine and the others, is the duration of the training sessions and the frequency of them. I train twice per day most days and have one day per week off. I also do most of my bootcamp sessions with my clients as extra training, but do not use extra resistance on most of the exercises.
Some of the workouts I do can be found on my
blog under workout of the day.
You can copy those workouts, or I have some further examples below.
