The Paleolithic Diet is based on the way our ancestors used to eat. Meats, fruits and vegetables are included and grains of any description are to be avoided at all costs.
Basically the diet is like the one I recommend. I eat mostly this way with a few modifications. I recommend full fat yoghurt as part of a long term healthy diet and also allow wholegrains in small quantities the closer you get to your ideal weight. Of course I use some supplements which cave man would not have had access to! Fish oils and protein powders are a regular addition for their convenience and health benefits.
If you can stick to this strict diet, I would recommend it. A lot of the health problems that have become so common in todays society can be traced directly to our over consumption of grains and grain based products.
