What does it take to acheive great weight loss? How do you know that you are going to burn fat? Healthy eating is the most important factor to begin with, but the fitter you get, the easier it gets to burn fat and the less strict your diet needs to be. When I first started on my way to a fitter leaner body, I had to work hard at watching what I ate. I fell off the wagon often, but the more effort I put into training, the easier it got to get the diet right too.

Getting weight loss right can sometimes be hard, but if you are willing to put in the effort, your results will be guaranteed. If I can do it with a young family of five children, anyone can. You do not need all day. What you need are some guidelines or rules to follow and some self discipline.

Start off by checking your diet. Look at foods as fuel, as healthy or not so healthy, not as good or bad for fat loss. Some easy things to do first are to cut down portion sizes and eat more often during each day. Eating more often will enable your body to burn fat fast all day and most importantly will stop you from being hungry and stop you snacking on foods that you should be avoiding. It is a lot easier to say no when it is only 3 hours between your snacks or meals. this is the first step to healthy eating and the quickest way to begin your weight loss program.

The next thing to do is to avoid certain foods to increase weight loss. These foods include processed foods and fried foods. It is essential to base your diet around fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables and lean meats such as fish, chicken, lamb or beef. Other foods to include are eggs, yoghurt, cottage cheese and nuts and seeds.

Make sure you eat some protein at every snack and meal. Then add fruit and vegies till you are full.

Eating this way will require some planning. I sometimes cook extra at tea time and put the food in serving size packs in the fridge ready for reheating the next day. I store serving size chicken, fish and other meat portions in ziplock bags in the freezer. I can then thaw them individually and quickly cook them in the microwave or dry fry them.I do this while steaming vegies or cutting salad for my daughter (aged 2) and myself for lunch. The extra effort is worth it to lose weight.

Some foods like yoghurt and cottage cheese are easy to serve with no preparation required. Just add fruit or a side of salad or vegetables and your meal is ready to go.

There are some foods that you should include in your diet often. These foods are incredibly healthy and will help you to lose weight.Make sure you include some of these foods every day.
